Company Details

BioAmber uses agricultural crops and transforms them into green chemicals that directly substitute chemicals derived from oil and act as feedstock for the chemical industry. Bio Amber uses renewable feedstocks (sugars) instead of fossil fuels and apply industrial biotechnology (fermentation) using proprietary yeast, which consumes sugar and CO2 to produce succinic acid and use conventional chemistry to convert the succinic acid into 1,4 Butanediol and disodium succinate. Bioamber (earlier a JV of DNP Green and ARD) was completely acquired by DNP Green in Nov 2010 and the entire corporation was merged to form Bioamber.
