Catbird provides software-defined security for virtual infrastructure. Software suite of products provide visibility into and protection of private clouds and virtual Data Centers. Catbird’s software-defined security software resides on the hypervisor and is deployed in a hub and spoke architecture. The two architectural elements are: Catbird Control Center which acts as the policy definition point, manages the other components and centralizes all the data gathered for visualization, analytics, alerting and reporting purposes; and Catbird Virtual Machine Appliances (VMAs) which is a mesh of sensors collecting data and executing the technical controls. Control Center is deployed as a separate VM & steers the VMAs & VMAs are not deployed on individual virtual machines but on the virtual network itself. Solution provides insight into all VM assets grouped together & related activity in a data center, automates security policy enforcement within virtual fabric based upon visualization & analysis.
