Isoray develops, manufactures, and markets isotopes for use in the medical treatment of various malignant diseases through Brachytherapy. In March of 2003, IsoRay Medical received clearance to market Cesium-131 from the Food and Drug Administration for the treatment of prostate, breast, liver, brain, lung, head and neck cancers and other malignant diseases. Isoray's GliaSite RTS balloon catheter offers physicians GliaSite Radiation Therapy System is available for brachytherapy of the resection bed following the surgical removal of gliomas and brain metastases. On July 28, 2005, IsoRay Medical, Inc. (Medical) became a wholly-owned subsidiary of Century Park Pictures Corporation. Pursuant to a merger. Century changed its name to IsoRay, Inc. (IsoRay or the Company).
