Company Details
Novapump is developing non-invasive and percutaneous heart assist devices especially for right heart insufficiency. The company's products PERKAT is a self-expanding heart pump that can be implanted within minutes in case of an emergency and represents a solution to help critically ill patients with acute right heart insufficiencies more rapidly. The small diameter of PERKAT™ allows percutaneous implantation in only a few minutes through the leg vein via Seldinger technique and using an 18F sheath system. The PERKAT device can be implanted percutaneously with no need for surgical intervention therefore saving the patient additional strain. In 2015, NovaPump was awarded by a jury as one of the most exciting young life-science project concepts 2015 and was one of the winning concepts at the VentureLounge from CatCap in Munich.
