India has over 674,184 startups, making it the third-largest startup hub globally. Of these, 33.9K are funded companies that have collectively raised $632B in venture capital and private equity. The country is home to 89 unicorns. A total of 121,387 investors have participated in 50,089 funding rounds, with 2,991 startups securing early-stage funding and 873 raising late-stage funding. In the last five years, 69,915 new companies have been founded, raising over $10.7B in funding. Startups in India have witnessed 5,137 acquisitions and 5,864 IPOs, while 108,822 startups wrapped up operations. Additionally, 23,412 companies have been founded by women.
