India has over 739,000 startups, making it the third-largest startup hub globally. Of these, 35K are funded companies that have collectively raised $629B in venture capital and private equity. The country is home to 93 unicorns. A total of 121,693 investors have participated in 52,344 funding rounds, with 3,084 startups securing early-stage funding and 903 raising late-stage funding. In the last five years, 94,060 new companies have been founded, raising over $12.1B in funding. Startups in India have witnessed 5,274 acquisitions and 6,361 IPOs, while 108,758 startups wrapped up operations. Additionally, 23,758 companies have been founded by women.
