India has over 684,094 startups, making it the third-largest startup hub globally. Of these, 34.3K are funded companies that have collectively raised $619B in venture capital and private equity. The country is home to 89 unicorns. A total of 121,387 investors have participated in 50,621 funding rounds, with 3,006 startups securing early-stage funding and 880 raising late-stage funding. In the last five years, 69,915 new companies have been founded, raising over $10.7B in funding. Startups in India have witnessed 5,192 acquisitions and 6,134 IPOs, while 108,813 startups wrapped up operations. Additionally, 23,470 companies have been founded by women.
