The country is home to 11 unicorns. A total of 1,720 investors have participated in 2,091 funding rounds, with 141 startups securing early-stage funding and 81 raising late-stage funding. In the last five years, 1,320 new companies have been founded, raising over $857M in funding. Startups in Mexico have witnessed 491 acquisitions and 374 IPOs, while 3,270 startups wrapped up operations. Additionally, 457 companies have been founded by women.
