The country is home to 24 unicorns. A total of 2,542 investors have participated in 4,581 funding rounds, with 831 startups securing early-stage funding and 228 raising late-stage funding. In the last five years, 2,189 new companies have been founded, raising over $1.31B in funding. Startups in South Korea have witnessed 646 acquisitions and 2,657 IPOs, while 3,835 startups wrapped up operations. Additionally, 403 companies have been founded by women.
