ConfigReality - Company Profile

ConfigReality (Chinese name Shenzhen Configreality Tech) has developed a proprietary spatial compression algorithm that alters the user's sense of direction and location to manipulate the perception of space when in virtual reality. The algorithm uses the unobservable spatial locating distortion of users and on the basis of this redirects their ability of spatial orientation and location. It also provides visual contents, binaural sound, and tactile feedbacks thereby making the virtual content become more real and natural like physical environment. Additionally, it can synchronize the real-world walls with the in-game ones for added realism, while still altering the perception of space in between. Applications are in the areas of VR/AR marketing, VR theme parks, and exhibition. As of June 2018, the company uses 4x8m physical space for remapping into virtual space. The company also provides services for developing and customizing mixed reality walking experiences. It was a part of VIVE X, HTC's VR/AR accelerator program 2017.
