Peak proteins is a service provider in protein purification, expression, characterization, and production. They use E.coli (T7 promoter), baculovirus/insect cells and mammalian cells to express and purify the protein. For baculovirus/insect cells system the technology they use is flashBACTM technology from Oxford Expression Technologies. FlashBACTM involves co-transfection of two plasmids in the culture to produce a virus, and for mammalian cells they use, the most popular HEK293cells. Additionally, it also provides structure determination services for proteins, wherein along with the detailed analysis of the structure, they also suggest drug designs.
