Company Details

Perception Neuron is a motion capture system created by Noitom, a company based in Beijing. Perception Neuron motion capture system is based on individual sensors called Neurons. Each is a small unit and weighs just over a gram. A Neuron houses an Inertial Measurement Unit with a gyroscope, accelerometer, and magnetometer. Every Neuron is interchangeable and can be placed anywhere needed in any number of combinations. The system can handle from 1 to 32 Neurons;9-Axis sensor units output data at 60fps or 120fps, which can be transferred to a computer through WiFi, USB or recorded on-board using inbuilt micro SD slot. Also provides SDK with a C/C++ API and integrations into Unity3D and Unreal Engine. AXIS Neuron, in-house software designed to manage and calibrate system as well as perform basic motion capture. It has the ability to stream BVH data as well as export files to FBX for use in most popular 3D software programs. Raised $572k through crowdfunding platform Kickstarter in Sep 2014.
