Picatic platform allows organizers to offer limited discounted tickets to their event in advance to manage the upfront costs of organizing the event. The goal amount is usually set as the “break-even” point for the event. It is all-or-nothing, so if a limited number of tickets are not purchased before the campaign deadline then money is returned to buyers. This gives organizers the ability to measure interest for an event in advance before they pay all of these upfront costs; thus avoiding a loss. If the campaign is successful they can then continue to sell tickets to the event normally at full price.
