Serene Medical is a medical device company with a proprietary technology for selectively targeting overactive motor nerves. It develops the The NeuBelle System, an FDA cleared handheld device that delivers Bi-polar Radiofrequency (RF) energy to locate a target nerve and inhibit or stimulates the action of a target nerve that controls the associated muscles. These devices are designed primarily for use in cosmetic and aesthetic procedures, for example, to treat motor nerves that control facial expression of the forehead, including frown lines. Conventionally this neuroinhibition is achieved by using Neurotoxins like Botox. Using Serene Medical's technology therefore limits the patient's exposure to potentially harmful neurotoxins.
