Company Details

Voptica spun off in 2010 from the Laboratory of Optical Sciences of the University of Murcia. The Visual Adaptive Optics simulator is a diagnostic device that incorporates adaptive optics based visual simulator(AO) based on liquid crystal aberrometry. It allows measurement of refractive errors as well as higher order aberrations. It provides an objective characterization of the eye and a real vision experience that allows a patient to test different optical solutions before surgery. It allows the customization of visual aid devices such as glasses and contact lenses to suit the patient.
