Developer of therapeutics by targeting different signaling pathways to treat multiple cancers. The Company's lead drug candidate, CUDC-907, is an orally available, small-molecule inhibitor of histone deacetylase (HDAC) and phosphatidylinositol-3-kinase (PI3K) enzymes. The product pipeline includes CA-170 (PD-L1/VISTA antagonist), CA-4948 (IRAK4 kinase inhibitor). Other preclinical programs in collaboration with Aurigene include small molecule antagonists of the PD-L1 and TIM3 immune checkpoints. The Hedgehog pathway inhibitor Erivedge (vismodegib) was developed in collaboration with Genentech and is being commercialized by Genentech and Roche for the treatment of advanced basal cell carcinoma (BCC). Erivedge is currently approved for use in patients with advanced BCC in the US, EU, and several other countries. Roche and Genentech are also continuing the development of Erivedge including in less severe forms of BCC as well as in other diseases including in idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, or IPF, and myelofibrosis.
