Gobasco is tech-enabled manager of supply chain of agricultural produce from farm to business. Claims to be developing a software platform for internal consumption and for supply chain optimization. The software will integrate with satellite imagery, geo-location services and data streams (manual) from produce markets, traders, and farmers. The company also claims that it is developing artificial intelligence algorithms that leverage machine learning techniques for supply chain optimization and computer vision for efficient sorting and grading of the produce. The primary business model appears to be procurement of produce from farmers at pre-determined costs, sorting and grading and supplying the produce to bulk buyers including traders and wholesale/retail businesses. The company claims to be asset light and uses existing inventory for procurement and transportation. As of Nov, 2017, the company claims to be receiving a demand of 6000 tons of fruits and vegetables per month and is looking to hit MRR of INR 120M by end of 2018.
