Tesseract Imaging, a spin-off out of the MIT Media Lab, designs and develops cameras for VR imaging. Combines hardware, software and product design, to create camera designs which are used to capture immersive VR content. Products include Methane, a 360 degree VR camera; and Focii, their patented technology - a photolithographic mask to get enhanced depth-information for image post-processing. Focii is placed between the camera lens and light-sensor, to get 3D/4D into the picture. Their 360 camera gives a resolution of 12MP.
