Southeast Asia has over 170,166 startups across the country. Of these, 15.3K are funded companies that have collectively raised $316B in venture capital and private equity. The country is home to 52 unicorns. A total of 18,127 investors have participated in 13,709 funding rounds, with 1,321 startups securing early-stage funding and 423 raising late-stage funding. In the last five years, 17,367 new companies have been founded, raising over $20.3B in funding. Startups in Southeast Asia have witnessed 2,760 acquisitions and 5,237 IPOs, while 29,331 startups wrapped up operations. Additionally, 4,701 companies have been founded by women.
